Pride Service

August 24 @ 10:45 am - 11:45 am

Each year Cross Street Chapel hosts a special “Pride Service” to recognise the contributions of its LGBTQ+ members, as well as acknowledging the work that still has to be done to achieve true equality.

This year we are delighted to welcome our very own Quinn Daley, who will be speaking about Trans Rights and Religious Freedom. Quinn (they/them) is a trans, non-monogamous and autistic Unitarian who works as a technology entrepreneur. They love sewing and karaoke and they live in Farsley in West Yorkshire. They’ve been a member of Cross Street Chapel since 2006.

Cross Street Chapel is a religious community that encourages the individual’s exploration of their spiritual selves and helps them to find meaning in their lives. We do not expect everyone to think alike, but do encourage people to be respectful and open to each other’s experiences. Our services include words, music and silence. The congregation is invited to participate with singing, and are often given an opportunity to say a word or two about their week (if they wish – it is neither compulsory nor restricted!) We draw upon many faiths as we celebrate life together. All are welcomed here, no matter one’s age, race, sexuality, or gender identity. We hope to see you here!
